Anthropic files to go public

The company may be valued as high as $2 trillion.

Cheng Xin/Getty Images Add Engadget on Google: Preferred Source Google Discover Anthropic has officially filed for an IPO, as the AI giant detailed in a post on its website. The company sent its Form S-1 to the Securities and Exchange Commission, confirming that the stock would be listed on Nasdaq under "ANT." Anthropic previously filed a draft version of its S-1 form with the SEC in June.

Anthropic said the number of shares and prices for them "have not yet been determined," but the IPO could value the AI company at around $2 trillion when the stock is expected to debut in mid-November.
