Anthropic's newly filed public S-1 reveals striking developer and enterprise adoption metrics, showing that over half of high-spending accounts now combine the Claude platform with first-party tools like Claude Code alongside rapid revenue growth.
The data shows that Anthropic is managing to keep its large customers firmly connected with it by offering multiple options. Businesses are no longer just using the core platform, but also preferring specialized applications, such as Claude Code for developers and Cowork.
More than half of customers who spend at least $100.000 annually use a combination of the company’s core platform and one of its apps, up from around 30% at the end of last year. Meanwhile, in the third quarter, the top 5% of Claude Enterprise customers who use Claude Code spent about 20 times more each month than the average business not using the programming tool.
The company's financial growth is at an extremely high level. Revenue for the first half of 2026 reached $16,3 billion, up from $1,2 billion in the same period last year, while net income retention was around 900% at the end of the third quarter.
Anthropic warns in stock market filing that artificial intelligence could threaten humanity
Additionally, the company created a separate joint venture called Ode with Anthropic, in partnership with Blackstone and other investment firms, with the aim of placing engineers directly within businesses.
Despite the success, the white papers point to serious challenges. Partnerships with major cloud companies like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft are becoming increasingly complicated as partners begin to view Anthropic as a competitor. This situation could make it difficult for the company to secure the necessary computing resources it needs.
At the same time, the company is highly dependent on its largest customers. Any significant reduction in their spending or loss of them could negatively affect the course of the business.
