Apple Siri AI adds five languages, with four more due by end of 2026

Now: Siri AI is in beta in French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish with the 27.2 updates, while the four remaining languages are listed as coming by the end of the year.

Apple released iOS 27.2 and the other 27.2 software updates on October 26, 2026, extending Siri AI to French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish ( Apple ). The company announced that Chinese (traditional), Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese will follow by the end of the year ( Apple ). Siri AI is in beta in the new release and requires an Apple Intelligence-enabled device set to a supported language ( Apple ). Before the update, Siri AI was available in English only, according to 9to5Mac ( 9to5Mac ).

Apple describes Siri AI as a completely reimagined version of Siri, built on Apple Intelligence, that draws on personal context across messages, emails and photos ( Apple ). The release notes list support on all iPhone 16 models and later, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max ( 9to5Mac ).

The iOS 27.2 notes add that Siri AI can recall past conversations and draw on photos attached in Messages, Calendar event attendees, voicemails, Safari history and Reading List ( 9to5Mac ). An Excluded Apps setting lets users choose which apps Siri, Search and suggestions can access ( 9to5Mac ).

Apple stated that Siri AI is not available for users under 13 ( Apple ). Certain server-side features, including Siri AI, are subject to daily usage limits that may vary by feature, request complexity and system demand ( Apple ). Expanded access to such features will be available for a fee in the future, Apple added ( Apple ).
