We started Best of AI to make finding good AI tools less of a slog. For a long time that meant us hunting around, trying things, and deciding what made the cut. It works, but it also means the directory only reflects what we happened to find and what we happen to like.
So we're teaming up with SemiLaunch, a launch platform where makers post their products and compete in weekly rankings decided by community votes.
New AI tools show up every day, and plenty of good ones disappear without anyone noticing. We can't catch them all. The people actually using these tools often can.
SemiLaunch gives us a way to listen. Their community votes, and we get a second signal on top of our own curation.
If you build an AI tool, here's the path to a listing on Best of AI:
You don't need to fill out a separate submission form, and we don't charge anything for the listing. SemiLaunch's regular launch pricing still applies, though.
You can still use our submit form or send a PR on GitHub if you'd rather go that way. Tools that come through SemiLaunch get higher priority, though.
More exposure for makers is the obvious win. The part we like more is that real users get a say. If enough people back a tool, we'd like to know about it, and we'd like to list it.
