This is my submission for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge — Week 2: Side Hustle.

Starting a side hustle is exciting, but managing everything behind the scenes can be overwhelming. From writing content and creating product descriptions to calculating prices and preparing client proposals, small tasks can quickly consume your time.

That's why I built HustleMate AI: a toolkit designed to make running a side hustle simpler.

HustleMate AI is an AI-powered productivity toolkit for freelancers, student entrepreneurs, content creators, and small business owners.

The idea is simple: bring useful tools into one place so you can spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time growing your business.

The project is designed for people who want to explore a side hustle without needing a complicated collection of tools.

I built the website using three core technologies:

For local AI functionality, the project is designed to integrate with Ollama, which allows users to run open-weight language models on their own computers.

The default model configuration is qwen2.5:3b, accessed through Ollama's local API.

This means the AI features can use a locally running model instead of relying on a paid, cloud-hosted AI API by default. Users need to configure their own local environment for these features to work; GitHub Pages hosts the website, not the AI model.

The pricing calculator can also work independently of the AI functionality.

I believe powerful AI tools should be accessible to people who are just starting out—not only to businesses with large budgets.

Open-weight models and tools like Ollama make it easier for developers to experiment, customize applications, and explore local inference.
