Clockwise, the AI calendar tool that protected Focus Time and moved meetings around for teams at companies like Uber, Netflix and Atlassian, stopped working on March 27, 2026. The Clockwise team joined Salesforce to work on Agentforce. Salesforce has said publicly that it did not acquire the Clockwise product or its technology, so the product didn't move anywhere. It's just gone.

If your calendar used to depend on Clockwise, you've probably noticed. Focus Time blocks are no longer defended, Flexible Meetings stay where they are, and old scheduling links are dead. This guide covers what happened, why Clockwise pointed its users to Reclaim.ai, how to migrate in under an hour, and when Motion might suit you better.

For a side-by-side table of all three tools, see the full Reclaim vs Motion vs Clockwise comparison.

Clockwise's shutdown FAQ on getclockwise.com is direct about it. Clockwise says it partnered with Reclaim "to provide a smooth transition" and recommends moving scheduling links "immediately to another service, such as Reclaim."

Reclaim's help center describes what that partnership included. Paid Clockwise customers who sent in an invoice were offered price matching, there were daily onboarding webinars during March, and larger teams got priority setup help. These offers were built around the shutdown, so check reclaim.ai for what's still available before you rely on them.

Two facts from the Clockwise FAQ matter for migration:

Clockwise and Reclaim were direct competitors for years, and their main ideas line up:

Reclaim goes further in a few places. It also schedules tasks, including from integrations like Asana, Todoist, Linear, Jira and ClickUp. Recurring routines are handled as "Habits." Scheduling links can connect to CRMs through webhooks.

1. Clean up leftovers. Search your calendar for leftover Clockwise events and recurring holds. Reclaim's FAQ also warns that Flexible Meetings someone else organized might keep showing up. Ask that organizer to remove Clockwise from the event.

2. Sign up with your work calendar. Reclaim works with Google Calendar and Outlook. Use your work account so the tool can see your real meeting load. There's a free plan to start with.

3. Set working hours and meeting hours first. Clockwise used these to decide where things could move. In Reclaim, they control where Focus Time, Habits and Smart Meetings can land. Start here before anything else.

4. Rebuild Focus Time. Pick a weekly target, for example 10 to 15 hours, and choose how strictly to defend it. Reclaim books flexible blocks that show as "free" while there's room and switch to "busy" as your week fills up, so the core Clockwise behavior is the same.

5. Turn recurring 1:1s and team syncs into Smart Meetings. This replaces Flexible Meetings. Reclaim finds the best slot for everyone and reschedules automatically when conflicts come up.

6. Replace scheduling links. Make new Reclaim Scheduling Links and update them everywhere the old Clockwise links lived: email signatures, docs, your website, and Slack profiles.

7. Add buffers and Calendar Sync. Turn on decompression time after meetings and travel time. If you use a personal calendar, connect it so personal events block work time without exposing details.

8. Roll out to the team. Reclaim's value grows when teammates join, because Smart Meetings can then work around everyone's Habits and Focus Time. Get one team running first, then expand.

You'll find a longer feature breakdown in our Reclaim review.

Motion (usemotion.com) is the other name that comes up all the time. It's a different kind of product. Clockwise was a calendar optimizer for teams. Motion is closer to an AI project and task manager that also schedules your day. It plans tasks against deadlines and rebuilds your schedule as priorities shift, and in recent years it has added AI features for docs, workflows and "AI employees."

On price, both tools change their plans fairly often. In general, Reclaim has a free tier and per-user paid plans that cost less than Motion's at the entry level. Motion, last we checked, focuses on paid plans with a trial and costs more per seat. Check reclaim.ai/pricing and usemotion.com/pricing for current numbers before you commit, especially for a team rollout.

Clockwise is gone and its data was deleted, but rebuilding the setup takes about an hour. If you want the Clockwise experience back with as little change as possible, Reclaim is the tool Clockwise itself recommended, and the feature mapping is close to one-to-one. If you're ready to rethink how you plan work, Motion is worth a trial.
