I built LazyFlow AI — Let AI Handle the Busywork, a lightweight productivity assistant designed to make everyday tasks faster and easier.
The goal is simple: spend less time on repetitive work and more time learning, building, and doing things that matter. Students, developers, and busy people can all benefit from it.

The app includes a demo mode, so users can explore the interface without configuring a local AI model.

For AI-powered functionality, the project supports Ollama with open-weight language models, such as Qwen 2.5. Users can configure a locally running model to generate responses for the available productivity workflows.
To try the local AI integration, install Ollama from ollama.com and download a model using:
ollama pull qwen2.5:3b Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode Then start the website using a local development server and configure the model in the app. Depending on the browser and Ollama configuration, additional CORS settings may be needed.
The demo mode is clearly distinguished from model-generated output, so it does not pretend that an AI model is connected when it isn't.
Open innovation makes AI development more accessible to students, beginners, and independent developers.
By supporting open-weight models and local inference, LazyFlow AI gives users a way to experiment with AI without depending entirely on paid, closed-source APIs. Developers can explore the implementation, customize workflows, learn from the code, and adapt the project to their own needs.
For me, this project is an opportunity to learn how web technologies and open AI tools can work together to solve everyday problems.
I also focused on making the project usable without an AI connection through a demo mode and on documenting how to configure a real local model.
LazyFlow AI is designed to reduce the effort involved in repetitive productivity tasks.
Instead of manually organizing rough notes, starting an email from scratch, or planning tasks one by one, users can enter their information and use the relevant workflow to get started faster.
The actual time saved depends on the task and the quality of the model's output. The goal is to reduce repetitive effort, not remove the need to review important results.
This project focuses on open-source AI and productivity automation using open-weight models and local inference.
I will select the applicable partner prize categories according to the official challenge rules.
Built for Hacktoberfest 2026 — Slow and Steady.
