OpenCode Android is a free, MIT-licensed Android launcher that installs opencode natively inside Termux (no root, no proot), runs its local server, and gives you the chat UI as a native app: guided setup, one-tap start, background update checks and notifications.
The app never bundles the agent. It drives Termux through the official RUN_COMMAND intent channel (you enable allow-external-apps=true once by pasting the one-line command the wizard shows). Installation and upgrades run visibly inside Termux; the launcher only displays progress and talks to the local server the same way your browser would.
Most mobile clients for coding agents are remote controls: they connect to a server running somewhere else. This one is the opposite — everything runs on the phone. It was built with opencode itself (fittingly) and designed so the whole flow works with as few taps as possible.
