Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 2: Side Hustle Submission 💸

This is my submission for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge — Week 2: Side Hustle.

Seller Boost AI is an AI-powered bulk product listing generator designed for online sellers, small businesses, and entrepreneurs.

Creating product listings manually takes time, especially when sellers manage multiple products across different marketplaces. SellerBoost AI simplifies this workflow: upload a CSV containing product names, categories, and target platforms, generate listing content in bulk, and preview the results before using them.

Instead of writing every listing from scratch, sellers can generate product titles, descriptions, and selling points through one streamlined workflow.

The goal is simple: less repetitive work, faster listing creation, and more time to grow a business.

The project demonstrates how open-weight AI can power a practical tool for everyday business needs.

I built SellerBoost AI with a React and Vite frontend and a FastAPI backend.

The application supports CSV uploads, product data previews, bulk listing generation, and generated listing reviews.

For AI-powered generation, I integrated Meta Llama 3.1 8B Instruct through Backboard AI. The project also has a configured multilingual model, Qwen 2.5 72B Instruct, for multilingual tasks.

The AI helps transform structured product information into useful listing content, while the application manages the CSV workflow and displays the results.

Open innovation matters because developers should have the flexibility to build useful AI applications without relying exclusively on closed-model ecosystems.

Open-weight models provide opportunities to inspect model availability and licensing, experiment with different approaches, and build applications around models that can be adapted to different needs.

For SellerBoost AI, this approach makes it possible to build a practical AI-assisted business tool around an open-weight model while using Backboard AI as the integration layer.

My goal is to explore how open AI technology can make useful tools more accessible to independent developers, small businesses, and entrepreneurs.
