Uvi, a startup that feeds company knowledge to AI agents, has emerged from stealth with $7.5 million in seed funding.

CT Innovations and Cardumen led the funding round, with Mana VC, 91 Ventures, and Gaingles VC also participating. Uvi plans to use the funds to build a US team, increase sales, and continue developing its product.

According to them, each AI agent a company uses begins without any knowledge of that company. Company information is often scattered across different tools, so a decision might begin in a Slack thread, move to a Jira ticket, and finish in code.

Uvi’s software connects these pieces so agents using models like Claude, Gemini, and GPT can understand what decisions were made and why. It links to Slack, Jira, Confluence, codebases, coding sessions, and meeting notes.

Employees only see information they already have access to, and each answer includes its original source, according to the company.

Since the knowledge is stored outside any single model, companies can switch models without needing each new one to relearn the business, Uvi said.

Moreover, the company tested this approach on the same model and, in its tests, said that company-built agents cost about eight times as much and took more than twice as long to respond.

Uvi estimated the cost per answer at $0.75 to $1.41 for those agents, compared to $0.10 to $0.16 for Uvi.

“Today, the conversation has shifted to cost and tokens. But as companies move into more complex agentic workloads, the real bottleneck becomes speed,” said Gilad Salinger, Uvi’s chief executive and cofounder.

Uvi is already used by insurer Lemonade, work software firm monday.com, and payments company Melio, which accounting group Xero bought for $2.5 billion last year.

“Every enterprise we talk to has already spent a year and a real budget trying to build context-at-scale, and most are still very far away,” said Gwen Cheni, who runs CT Innovations’ Venture IQ Fund.
