I use AI in my SEO work. It's fast. It reads data quicker than I do. It gives me ideas I hadn't thought of.

Ask it what to do with a page and you'll get a confident answer. Merge these posts. Noindex that section. Rewrite these titles.

But when a move goes wrong, AI doesn't get the call. I do.

I've been doing SEO since 2015. Client sites with real money on the line. My own blog, where I could test anything. My Amazon sites, which still get organic traffic, just not like before.

Some tests doubled traffic. Some sites slowly faded.

Every one of those calls had my name on it. That's what taught me to slow down before a big change.

AI has never had to explain a traffic drop to a client. It has never watched its own site fade. It doesn't lose the account, the income or the trust.

AI suggests. I check it against Search Console and GA4. I ask what happens if it's wrong, and whether I can undo it in one step. Then I decide.

The suggestion costs nothing. The consequences land on whoever owns the site.

Which SEO call would you never hand to AI?
